  • I bought a premium subscription to Freepik. What a waste. I had my password and user name written down, I didn’t forget them, but could not log in. In the 6 weeks since I bought premium, I’ve accomplished logging in 3 times. Most of the time, I am not allowed to log in and can’t reset my password. I can’t count how many times I’ve contacted their support, it just keeps happening. Don’t throw away your money on their Premium, it won’t do you any good.

    • Thanks for sharing your experience with the community!

  • This article is a bit deceiving. It alludes to the idea of “which one is better” and ends with “we love them both!”. Kinda clickbaity.

I’ve been back and forth with Freepik and their terms are extremely confusing. With any stock company we’ve ever dealt with as an agency, we buy the asset once (either while on subscription or one-off) and we use it whenever we want for client projects. Freepik tells us that we are only able to use any given pic ONE time. That means if you find a pic you like that does exactly what you want it to do, you can’t use it for the next client’s work. You have to go up to their site and find another image that may not be as good.

What’s worse is that if they only have a certain number of images for a particular purpose (i.e., “share”) and you run out of those, you have to go to another stock site in order to find one that you like. You cannot reuse their images on another project. Most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.

Save yourself some time and money and skip Freepik. It’s cheaper to go to one of the big stock companies and buy it once and use it forever.

Agreed. The best worst answer ever. “Both”….really? SMH

    • Thanks for your comment. Truly insightful and valuable!

      • Not sure if you are serious or being sarcastic. I was hoping to get some advice as to how to choose. I just know to skip Freepik at this point. Not sure if Vecteezy is any good or not

        • Didn’t mean to sound sarcastic at all. Apologies if we did!
GraphicMama is completely independent and unbiased regarding both platforms. We simply compared them by several criteria. If we were to recommend a specific platform for vector assets, this would surely be GraphicMama – this is where we are biased. The Standard License allows you to use the purchased graphics for as many projects as you want.
What you are sharing about Freepik, wasn’t of our knowledge until now. This is why we described it as insightful and valuable – we think it will help more people make informed decisions.
